The Black Writers Guild of Maryland champions the literary arts with a writing conference, "Beyond the Writing" at Morgan State University. There will be workships and a panel discussion on marketing and PR to empower writers to take the necessary steps once they've completed their work. Sheri Booker, Baltimore's national bestselling author (Nine Years Under: Coming of Age in an Inner City Funeral Home) will deliver a keynote address. Registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, giveaways, and a toolbox of lifetime skills!
