The American Visionary Art Museum will be honoring Ray Kurzweil--author, inventor, Director of Engineering at Google--with its 2014 Grand Visionary Award. The Gala will explore technology and its impact on our lives alongside the Visionary Museum's exhibition Human, Soul & Machine: The Coming Singularity! AVAM will also award inventor Jack Andraka for his work in inventing a revolutionary and cheap test to detect pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancers. Proceeds from the Gala benefit the museum's educational programming and exhibitions.
