On November 27th Andy Belt & Friends will celebrate the release of Andy Belt & Gary Backhaus’ new CD release, Before The Grass Was Blue. With the recent resurgence of Americana and Bluegrass Music, Andy Belt & Friends members, Andy Belt & Gary Backhaus have gone to the source of the genre and have resurrected some old-tyme, pre-bluegrass numbers, many of which find their root in the late 1800's and early 1900's. In follow-up to the 2014 Andy Belt & Friends release Hungry for Bread, Veteran multi-instrumentalist, Gary Backhaus showcases his multi-instrumental talents, Andy Belt provides his strong signature lead vocals for the project and lends a hand on banjitar, with a few other “friends” joining for the evening’s performance. This evening will provide the perfect vessel for a musical time machine that will keep your toes tapping.
