Join us for a wonderful night of music, revelry and history as we celebrate Christmastide, Colonial American-style! We'll play music, we'll talk about history, and we'll bring the story of early American Christmas to life in all of its drunken, rowdy glory. From Puritan New England, where the celebration of Christmas was legally banned for many years and punishable by lashes or stockade, to the American South, where gangs of revelers harassed the gentry with wassailing and mischief - we'll explore the vibrant musical tradition that lived alongside the holiday. We have a wonderful ensemble, composed of: Tyler St. Clare, wooden flutes & voice Michael Jancarek, hammered dulcimer Joshua Barnett, guitar Tim Anderson, cello Janna Critz, alto & special guest artists!
